Hi, thanks for visiting my website. My name is Diego Roberto Irigoyen. I am currently a Visual Resource Specialist in the History of Art Department at the University of California, Riverside, and an Art Education Lecturer for San Diego State University.

Art and penmanship have been a big part of my life and they have provided me with a great deal of peace and ease. In sharing my work, I aspire to encourage you. We all have creative energy building up inside of us and I believe that exerting that energy regularly ensures health and well being.

In 2012, I began actively seeking exercises that would help me improve my performance in college. After experiencing a radical transformation in a matter of months I began drafting Creative Brain Training, curious to learn if the exercises could work for anyone else.

Creative Brain Training is a 10 week curriculum I designed as an experimental course at California State University, San Bernardino in 2014. In 2016, I began teaching this course as a part of the Prison Arts Collective and over the following three years, I had the opportunity to witness its impacts.

The Creative Brain Training book covers my personal transformation, the exercises that make up Creative Brain Training and the anecdotal experiences my students shared over years of teaching.
